Joanna is passionate about Oriental Medicine and using both conventional and traditional evidence-based therapies to benefit her patients.  She believes in the body’s innate ability to heal itself, and that the best medicine is a healthy lifestyle. She successfully treats patients with a wide variety of conditions and is devoted to providing high quality, compassionate, and effective medical care to all who seek her healing touch. Overall, Joanna’s patients describe her as an excellent listener and a natural healer.

JOANNE’S STORY

Joanna was born into a family who ran a Chinese herb shop, so she has benefited from the power of Chinese Medicine since she was a child. Because of her interests in both medicine and medicinal botany, she first embarked on her college studies with a focus on Chinese herb identification and preparation. While at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, she became more and more attracted to the philosophy of Chinese Medicine, specifically how to maintain wellness by focusing on a healthy lifestyle and and relieving bodily imbalances as early as possible. Towards the end of her studies, Joanna switched to traditional Chinese Medicine with the goal of guiding people to discover the healing power within themselves that they can enjoy balanced, healthy lives.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

With four years of medical training from Beijing University’s Chinese Medicine program, Joanne’s education comes from one of the best-rated Chinese medicine universities. After graduating with a Bachelor in Chinese Medicine—with a specialization in Chinese herbs—she moved to the United States where she completed another three years of education and medical training at Texas Health and Science University. In 2018, she received a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture.

SPECIALITY IN CHINESE MEDICINE

Joanna’s combination of acupuncture and herbal medicine training has been used to treating hundreds of patients with reproductive health issues (female & male), digestion disorders, Bell’s palsy, the side effects of diabetes/HBP, as well as other and other issues such as headache, neck and shoulder pain, back pain, sciatica, allergy, chronic fatigue and insomnia.
